Lexington is a better place because David Williams called it his home.

He was an extraordinary man who be deeply missed.

I was so surprised and saddened to hear of David's passing.  While I knew him from Town Meeting and conservation he contributed to Lexington in so many ways, we are indebted.  My thoughts are with the family.

If anyone has the unofficial results for the TM elections, can they post it here, please. The Town has yet to post the official results.

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of David Williams. He was a friend to me and my family and I will miss him. Too few know of Davids accomplishments which have affected so many.  His work on the Towns Trustee of Public Trust resulted in the continual increase in donations and  establishment of funds for the positive benefit of  Lexington conservation lands and preservation of open space. He is responsible for the growth and success of the Lexington Scholarship Committee and the granting  of its generous yearly college scholarship's which thousands of Lexington’s youth have benefited from. He is responsible for the Towns purchase so many years ago of the Chiesa Farm, some 23 acres off Adams Street between Fiske Elementary and Diamond Middle Schools. He is responsible for the long winding pathways throughout Lincoln Fields between Worthen Road and Lincoln Street.  He was a kind, humble and unassuming  person who although felt uncomfortable speaking in public but who then overly compensated for this by his actions. He shied away from any acknowledgement but successfully worked behind the scenes to accomplish much.  A long time Townmeeting member and Board of Appeals member.
Some may remember Lexington’s Grande Dame, Elsa Sullivan, who said it best for those she cared about and admired, “He is one of the good ones”.
May God’s light shine upon you and your family my friend. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
