Dear LOS members on the Google Group.
Thank you for all your feedback on the letter to the editor, and thanks you to those of you who agreed to sign on.  I brought the letter to the Lexington Council for the Arts and it was agreed that it is an appropriate role for the Arts Council to play to ACTIVELY attempt to move the town discourse on the arts in a more positive direction.... Therefore we will submit the letter from members of the Lexington Council for the Arts.  This will leave the LOS artists with the opportunity to create an additional letter that more artists might be willing to sign.  I urge you to do this.  Elaine's letter could be a good starting point, although it needs to be reduced to 300 words....

I have attached the current version of the Arts Council's letter - it may still be edited a bit, but it is close.
Zoe
