Here's the poop from George O. Note the 7:00 PM start time.
I have little idea what to expect. The last traditional square dance
over there about filled the Carlberg's dance floor. Rev. Kent's
basement may be stuffed with ( would-be?) dancers, or the caller may
have to dance to get one square going. I hope he knows some two and
three couple dances, just in case. I don't think you have to wear
your string tie and cowboy boots.
I'll likely go. Might be up for supper at Sune's, before.

A) Square Dance and Pie Auction--This is pure genius, with pies by
you, calling by the lanky Michael Ismerio, and music by a squad of
Berea rockers. 'Tis a fun-raiser for some hellraisers, namely and to
wit, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth (KFTC) andRadical Action for
Mountain People's Survival (RAMPS). They both have a lot going on, but
basically it's this: if you're not happy about the prospect of the
Appalachian Mountains becoming the Appalachian Moonscape, you need to
support these folks!
Ye scoopage: Like our Contras, No experience needed, all dances
taught, it'll be solid all Southern square dances.
What: A fun Square Dance, NOT the string-tie and
cowboy boot scene--great rockin' that any contra dancer will love!
Who: Calling by Michael Ismerio, whose calling
I've danced to, and the dude knows what's up! See way lots more on an
amazing guy at: MichaelIsmerio.com
Who Else: Music by our Berea pros-you'll love it.
When: This Friday, March 23, 7:00 pm
Where: Union Church, acrost the street from Boone
Tavern in Berea.
SEE FRYER ATTACHED oops I mean SEE FRIAR ATTACKED! Why did the
chicken cross the road? It was stapled to the monk.
WAIT WAIT!! What's this about PIES??? Well I am just so glad you
caught me in time!! The idea is you make/acquire a pie and bring it to
be auctioned off to raise money for these orgs. Or, you bring a sheaf
of currency and buy as many pies as possible with it. Either one is
good! Eating your pie on the spot is encouraged--bring a fork or six &
remember who told you about all this scrumptuosity!! The name of he,
begins with G.
Wanna play music for the dance, or bring a pie, or both?? Thou shalt
