Hello George,
Best wishes for the new year (and all the ones beyond) !
No donation is required to download the software but thanks anyway, it's much appreciated.
Even if programming what I need is a passion, I feel
reluctant to spend more time on the MPXG2 editor because the $60
"received" on gofundme (that I still did not claim) are not enough to
sustain my wife and my 2 kids while doing so (had not such financial
burden at the time I worked full time on the editor for 3 months - for
which I received less than $200 since 2007)... :-D
Back to the download, normally you can click on the link down the page if the download does not start automatically:
Anyway, here are the direct download links:

The Linux version still works on the latest ubuntu.
For Windows 10 I just checked, it seems to work (at least the web
page opens and the MIDI interface can be selected in the configuration
page). But I suggest you to right-click the
application and select "Properties" then the "Compatibility" tab check
the box "Run this program with compatibility mode for" and select
"Windows 7". (I guess the same applies for running the app in Windows 11).
Macintosh version was built on OSX 10.6, I did not test it beyond.
First thing you need to do (the first time you run the program and
the web applications is displayed), is to select the MIDI input and
output in "Configuration".
You must connect both the MIDI input and output to the G2. And as I guess you own only one G2, the MIDI Device ID should be 0 :
You can also open the web application from your phone or tablet (if they
are connected to WIFI and your computer is connected either with WIFI
or with cable to the same local network) using the URLs mentionned down
the homepage (I recommend using Brave or Chrome on your phone or tablet to open the URL).
Changes you make on a device are reflected on other ones (eg when using both computer and tablet or/and phone)
Changes you make on the G2 are reflected on the web interface (excepted a few things for which the G2 is not generating MIDI messages)
Enjoy having more time to play your guitar by not having to use the
G2 buttons anymore except for a few things like effect chain re-ordering
- for which I would love to implement a drag'n drop interface... Maybe I
should write and charge for "DLC"s , but who still owns a MPX-G2 anyway
? :-D
If you have the old G2 firmware and not the version 1.1 and cannot
upgrade, I would be glad to take a look at it (some user reported it was
not working with firmware 1.0 despite the app should rebuild the
parameters tree automatically, but as he refused to let me access his
computer remotely I could not fix it...)
Best regards,
Luc Deschenaux
