why has lex-pass been discontinued?

Hi,
I found lex-pass and thought it would be a nice tool for our companies legacy
PHP code. Googling for lex-pass led me to pfff[1]. So I think lex-pass has been
discontinued in favor of the latter. Is this correct?
Would it make sense to invest time to revive lex-pass or should I rather
investigate pfff? Unfortunately I only know a bit of Haskell and no OCaml at
all.
