I learned late today that the school district told The Oregonian that
Lewis was one of ten buildings that they are proposing to demolish and
rebuild with a new school building.

I will be attending a principal's meeting on Thursday and anticipate
learning more about this proposal. The article in The Oregonian
indicated that new school buildings would be built to replace the
existing school building. When I have more information I will share it
with our community.
There is a School Board work session scheduled for the evening of
Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Blanchard Education Service Center (501
N. Dixon) building where this proposal will be discussed. I encourage
our families that are able to attend to do so, so that our Board can
hear our perspective on this matter.
Sincerely,
