Greetings all...I've been a member of levnet in the past (not in a long time), and a longtime member of the lothars.

I've been playing with some production techniques recently, and came up with this that I think should be appreciated here more than anywhere...a little irreverent holiday theremin humor....enjoy.

I have a little theremin, I built it from a kit,
when I start to play it, my neighbor has a fit
oh theremin theremin theremin, it whitsles and it whirles
oh theremin theremin theremin, it turns on all the girls

I don't need feet to play it, I only use my hands,
I'll ex-press my team spirit, and join the marching band
Cheer go team go on theremin, I'll play the halftime show
take the money _ and run, to march with the cello

At my winter party, we stage a pageant rouge,
instead of the three wisemenLeon Clara and bob moog
we celebrate the theremin, its not a passion play
it has a happy ending, and jews come out ok.


Rockmore played Rachmonioff with proud and stately pout,
..but when I play the beach boys good vibrations don't come out
3 cheers for gran dam clara, her vocalese is grand
Summon mood and feeling, simple wave of ether hand

My theremin isn't christian, a muslim or a jew
The scripture speaks of Gilligan's, with coils wrapped round bamboo
Wound by the professor, Inspired by maryann
bingo bango bong and ir-ving complete the band

Homer has a theremin, covet by r baboon
its fetishized by hipsters, who write todays cartoons
burgers from white castle, are sold in a slam dunk
if you play the theremin, to viewers who are drunk

Plug into a reverb, de-lay with feedback loop
Turn them to 11, melt your face into a soup
Oh kindred spacerock spirit, We'll all meet up there soon,
I'll bite a silver apple, and fly straight to the moon

So if you have an Etherwave, Tmax-or one with tubes
Play along with this song, and post it on youtube
If you play the theremin, your career will go far
You could be in video, if you kill the radio star

nice! you might think about adding an 8bit rhythm track or some harmonic
support, but that is only my opinion.

Very clever, and creative.
 Interesting that your lyrics are written to the old Yiddish tune, Dreidle, Dreidle, Dreidle.
The Dreidle game in which a small four-sided top is used is not a simple game, and has some interesting rules to learn.
  The MP3 sounds like it was sung by Robbie The Robot.......hhahaha.
Here is wishing all theremin lovers and Levnetters a joyous Holiday season and a happy and prosperous New Year.
