Well hello there! Did you remember that there was a music-making guy named
Levi Fuller, or that you were on his email list (in his google group)? Either way, here I am! And there you are! I hope this finds you well.
So. Twenty years ago, give or take a few days, I released
my first solo album and played my first show in Seattle. (In case you're wondering, no, it was not a good idea to do these two things at the same time.)
The show was an Acoustic Tuesday at the
Sunset Tavern, one of my favorite musical places in Seattle or the world. In honor of that moment, I've
put together a ridiculously stacked bill of some of the wonderful musical humans I've come to know over the years, to each play a couple
acoustic tunes on a Tuesday at the Sunset.
Next Tuesday, actually, October 3rd.
Levi's Acoustic Tuesday: Celebrating Two Decades of Music and Friends
Tuesday, October 3, 7pm, Sunset Tavern, 5433 Ballard Ave NW
With:
Alicia Amiri, Moon Baillie, Black Ends, Robert Deeble, Levi Fuller,
Jonah of Pufferfish, Colin J Nelson, Moe Provencher, J.R. Rhodes, Sun
Tunnels, Town Forest (solo) . . . and more!
I will play two songs. I think I know which ones, but let me know if you have a request or suggestion.
About that first album: For some reason, not having played a single show in Seattle, I thought it would be a good idea to make 1000 copies. I still have . . . a few. Between now and 10/3 you can get the CD on Bandcamp for 1 dollar plus shipping. (If you come to the show on 10/3 I will probably
give you one for free.) The download only is 5 dollars. It is far from
perfect, but it has some moments that I think stand the test of time. I
will forever be in debt to Casey Alexander for making it sound as good
as it possibly could.
That's all for now. Thanks for listening, or reading, or pausing before deleting, or just being.
