Hello friends!

As you may know, I helm the audio quarterly series Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly. The newest volume (currently unspooling over at ballofwax.org and available for pre-order) is devoted to the theme of borders: literal and figurative, geographic and otherwise. The lyrical (and musical) inspirations vary, but our cause is pretty straightforward: funding the great work of RAICES at our southern border (who currently have a link on their home page to "help get babies out of prisons." Yes, this is America.).

My contribution is titled "Fuck Your Wall." It is not, shall we say, subtle.

We hope you will join us to celebrate the release this Friday at Woodland Theater, a lovely little venue in Ballard. One of my favorite parts of this project is that I get to put together dreamy lineups of my favorite Seattle artists - and play with them! The show is all ages and thus booze-free, but there are multiple bars within stumbling distance. The cover charge is sliding scale, but the more you give the more we send to RAICES.

We play first, at 8:30 sharp. Come early, stay late, bring the family! (There will, as you've probably guessed, be some cursing.)
