Hey there, it's been a little while.
Since
Levi Fuller & the Library last played out, 2/3 of us (Jon and I) have become dads, so we've been taking a little bit of a break. But the time has come to rock once more! And that's what we're doing this Saturday.
Saturday, December 5th
The Blue Moon, 712 NE 45th St.
Mutiny Mutiny, Levi Fuller & the Library, Dark Palms, Lux Fontaine
9 p.m. / $5 /
21+
You should come! This will be a loud and fun rock show. Lux Fontaine is the newish project of my good pals Louis O'Callaghan (The Graze, Sun Tunnels, An Invitation to Love, etc.) and Sam Jansons (some of those same things and probably others). Mutiny Mutiny rocks in a pretty awesomely early '00s heavy indie rock kind of way. Dark Palms is from Olympia, and they don't make bad bands down there.
In other news,
I successfully wrote and recorded my first song since becoming a dad. It's titled "The Meaning of Life," as are all of the other tracks on
Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly Volume 42, which actually celebrates its release
tonight at Conor Byrne. (Why yes, I have way overbooked myself for my first week of doing stuff out in the world as a parent.) Maybe you should pick up a copy, either tonight at the release show or via the little internet purchasing button.
All right, that should do it for now. Thank you, as always, for listening.
