    Summary

    You will serve as a DATA SCIENTIST in the Knowledge Management Division (N0493) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND NORFOLK VA.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as a Data Scientist applying state-of the art data science.
    • You will design and implement ad hoc and automated analysis scripts, design and deliver appropriate summary tables, and charts.
    • You will design and build large complex data sets from spurious sources.
    • You will ensure the continuity, reliability, security, and integrity of operation and business data.

    Qualifications

    In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience is defined as: experience with Programming languages. Experience with operations research. Experience with data analytics.

    a combination of experience and education achieved from courses equivalent to a major field of study in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science, plus addition education or appropriate experience.
