This a learning support faculty position with a working title of Mission Assistance and
Learning Analytics Specialist. The position provides support to key computer science and learning analytics support to learning activities across the DoD acquisition workforce.
Duties:
1. Analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques and present verified results for presentations or dissemination.
2. Maintain currency with field data collection procedures, data retrieval and techniques, and computer software analysis packages in order to perform specialized data retrievals, prepare clear and accurate reports of the study results, including recommendations for improving the data collection process or methods of compensating for existing data limitations.
3. Provide strategic ideas and support for the modernization of databases and software systems, write and articulate system requirements, track, manage, and coordinate tasks, and maintain project documentation.
4. Participate in and perform data cleansing activities. Identify inadequacies and inconsistencies in data, presenting options and recommendations for modification of data sets.
5. Usage of query and reporting analysis tools.
6. Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems.
7. Develop and maintain data visualizations in departmental or enterprise systems.
