Plot Summary

The film revolves around Raja (Jackie Shroff), a small-time smuggler who operates in Mumbai. He is in love with Priya (Manisha Koirala), a singer who works at a nightclub. Priya does not approve of Raja's criminal activities, and persuades him to give up his smuggling business and start a new life. Raja agrees, and decides to surrender himself to the police and reveal the names of his associates.

However, Raja's plan goes awry when he is framed for the murder of his friend and partner, Aslam (Avtar Gill). Raja realizes that he has been betrayed by one of his own men, Kevin (Gulshan Grover), who works for a rival smuggler named Kotak (Paresh Rawal). Kotak wants to eliminate Raja and take over his territory. Raja manages to escape from the police custody with the help of Priya and Father Demello (Tom Alter), a priest who runs an orphanage.
