This is what Swiss International Airlines, Jungfrau Railways and the
Switzerland tourism have planned, assembling six former Test players
each from India and an All-Stars team from the West Indies, England
and New Zealand to promote cricket and tourism on August 15, India’s
Independence Day.
The venue of the match located at the summit of Bernese Alps and
called — Jungfraujoch — is at an altitude of about 11,300 feet.
Kapil Dev, India’s 1983 World Cup winning captain will lead the Indian
team comprising Ajay Jadeja, Anshuman Gaekwad, Sandeep Patil, Syed
Kirmani and Roger Binny.
The All Stars squad will be led by Alvin Kallicharan. Other members
are Collis King, Chris Broad, John Emburey, Geoff Howarth and Neal
Radford. M.A.K. Pataudi and Farokh Engineer would be the umpires
