Hey all, 

I don't normally send out emails like this but this is really important to me. My sister, Amanda Fay, is a second grade teacher at Seagrove Elementary. Her school is Title 1, extremely low poverty. Many of these kids live in dilapidated homes with either one parent or extended family members. I could go on and on with stories that would break your heart but I won't because my sister's heart is to bring joy to her students through creative ideas. Her goal as a teacher is to expose her students to as many diverse cultural experiences as she can. A few years ago she started a garden at her school for the second grade level to maintain. This year she would like to get a tablet for her classroom. Currently, they have one computer which all 25 or so of her students have to share. With a tablet she has one more tool to help her low readers, use creative means to assist with instruction, expose her students to technology, the benefits are really limitless. See below for the link. The original goal was $400 she has $318 more to go!!! Every little bit helps, even if it is $5. I also believe your donation is tax deductible.
