Great! i'm trying to take 2-3 weeks off and do south Africa for week
(Fifa, Shark Dives) then do somewhere else.. If my layover is in
London or Amsterdam i will make some time for there too...or even hit
Italy. What you think? I need to see as much of "nonUSA touching"
countries as possible in 2-3 weeks

pricey... start saving now. I talked to Sue about this she said flights could be up to $3k roundtrip. But that was just her guess and its too early to check online...yadda yadda conclusion -> start having ING start taking out money per check you got 20 months to save.. plus dont forget to save your tax refund check

so i did a quick travelocity search for flights next year ~june/july
and they are running from $2000-7900 (good god--who would pay 8
grand?!). i'm hoping they'll still be around 2 grand by 2010...i told
dan 3g's to play it safe..between the price of gas and the way the
airlines rape you for baggage thought it would be better to save too
much cash than not. also we can break up the trip and do a week some
where else...looks like typical layover spots are senegal (no thanks),
amsterdam (hollerrrr), and munich (mmm...beer). hmmm..wonder if there
are any cool festivals goin on anywhere around the same time....

heres a thought ... lets fly to europe for $800, then take a cruise to
south africe for 1200.. you dont save much but you pratically get a
week vacation out of it, for the same price of flying direct. getting
there is the only big expense.... Hotel for $300zar = $40 a night ,
or you could rent a house for the month for just about the same
price..
