Shoe Museum
Did you know? —
Spain is renowned for its artisan footwear. Shoemakers there pull from centuries-old tradition to design footwear that features unique materials, attention to detail, and quality unlike anything you'll see anywhere else. El Naturalista, which we're excited to be featuring today, originates from a centuries-old tradition of Spanish artistry-shoemaking in La Rioja, a town so renowned for its shoemakers, it sports a real-life shoe museum. And the place actually sounds kind of cool! The Museo del Calzado takes visitors on a journey through the history of shoemaking from the 16th century to the present. The museum features a section on Espadilles—causal flats with a braided rope midsole—for which the city is famous and of which El Naturalista has several lines. Be sure to check out some of the unique products from this fashionable brand with a rich history.
