Glad you all had a great ride Saturday too. The weather was wonderful (and smoke-free) for a good long ride.
I almost jumped onto your ride but had some home scheduling issues. Instead, I took off about 11 and rode a long winding ride west and south of Fort Collins, which took me around southeast of Loveland then west, where I felt good enough to go tackle Rattlesnake Hill to Pinewood Reservoir. I left the summit only a moment later, when thunder happened so back down and then up around Carter Lake and on south into a steady headwind to Hygiene. I had a snack and a bottle of Gatoraid and then headed back north, with a nice tail wind. However, instead of doing the smart thing and riding home in the plains, I opted to ride over Sedona Hills and then through Eden Valley and back up over Horsetooth to get home. My last climbs were no pretty! It took me six hours and got 89.5 miles, with just under 5000 feet of climbing. Sadly, I was simply too shot to perform my household chores that evening J

Quick report: Route was Lyons, Estes via 36 and home via Glen Haven. A bit
too much traffic on 36. But besides that... good loop. Nothing super tough,
just a long grind.
