Dear All,
Please have a look at the proposed main purpose of our organization as below, which is written to meet the WHY, WHAT, HOW and WHO requirements suggested in Lisa Ruff's letter (see Charmingblue's email of today).
Mission and Approach
Chinese Council of America (CCoA), being formed by a few Chinese Americans, will be a not-for-profit nongovernmental organization with a mission to help reduce extreme poverty that Chinese orphans suffer and to promote leadership learning opportunities for poor but talented Chinese youth.
CCoA's approach is a long-term process of engaging multiple programs, including providing financial aid to orphans in rural areas of China, and supporting poor but talented Chinese high school students with financial means to pursuit their study in higher education institutes inside China or in the United States.
With very limited resources, CCoA intends to work primarily to provide financial support to Chinese orphans and poor students. CCoA also aims to maximize and leverage its resources by collaborating with other NGOs on a case-by-case basis, to support poor Chinese people directly and independently.
For any questions, please let me know.
Thank you!
