Hi Charmaine,

I am afraid that I'm not able to be one of the founders of the company. My immigration attorney warned me today that forming a company in my case is not a good idea as it may jeopardize my H1B status and my GC application as well.  Do we have to have three founders? If yes, it's better to replaced me with someone who is already a permanent resident or at least holding an EAD work permit. Sorry for the late notice. I hope you haven't sent out the package this point.

Thanks,
-Jenny

Wow, I didn't know that.
Fine for me too. And I have another idea, how about after I get Luo's signature, I send the package to you, and give you instructions, then you can save a trip.

I thought of this issue days ago too. But since it's a not-for-profit, I don't think it's a big deal. But if your lawyer says so, you'd better listen.

I am going to drop off the letter after work today. It seems that I forgot the check yesterday was a good thing. Then I will put it on hold.

The registration requires a minimum of three initial officers. I don't think we have three green card holders here.

Hi charmine,
Please use my name. Luo should be fine with using his too. If we cannot find one more person from our group, please hold from filing it for now and let me know. I'll ask around to see if any of my friends can help,
Thanks

Alex, I will ask my colleague next Monday. She might agree to sign her name for us.

Great news! Jay (Zhi Liu) agrees to be one of the co-founders, so the problem solved.

Jenny, Jay (Zhi Liu) agrees to be one of the initial officers, so problem solved. But may I still use your address as our office and mailing address? There are two reasons for that:
(1) You signed a three-year lease, so it's more stable;
(2) Your county is not subject to NYC taxes, so it saves me one filing step.
Can I do that?

Charmaine
