Yesterday afternoon Alexa began saying she couldn't find some of our Amazon Music playlists. I can see the playlist in Amazon Music, and yet she will frequently say she can't see it. For example, I have a playlist for my wife named "Robyn 2019". We usually say, "Robyn Twenty-Nineteen," but I've tried other pronunciations too. This happens intermittently with every playlist we have attempted to. It even happens with Alexa in the Alexa app and with Alexa in the Android Amazon Music app.
Uploading seemed to cause a lot of duplicates, so then creating playlists from the recently imported or added files caused a lot of duplicates in the playlists. I listen to playlists on shuffle so this annoyed me because it means the probability of duplicated tracks is higher and you miss out on the other files. I found a way around it though!
I create playlists on Amazon music. Then using the 955 Solar I go to Browse > My Music > Playlists and select the playlist I want to download to my watch. It will then connect to Wi-Fi and proceed to sync Amazon music for a while. Some playlists work fine on my watch using this method but some playlists appear but they are completely empty and have no songs in them. Playing the same playlist on Amazon music via the computer is completely fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Talked to customer service. Apparently Amazon made a change and you can only get your play lists if you subscribe to Amazon Unlimited Music. Garmin failed to notify the customers of this change so we get to find out when our playlists are gone. If you have Prime Music you can't upload your curated play lists any longer...............Bait and switch from Garmin about being able to upload playlists. Guess they just want to sell more watches but can't negotiate with Amazon on behalf of the runners.
