XPS1645 370 BT Driver Win 10. > I had the same issue and what I found was that I needed to go into Add/Remove programs and Uninstall the Broadcom driver software from Windows 7. Once I did that I then used the Broadcom drivers for Windows 10 provided by Lenovo (which is the same as Broadcoms but the installer works). The Lenovo version of the Broadcom driver can be found at the link below.( if link gets broke just search for Lenovo Broadcom Bluetooth Windows 10). Another issue that needs resolved is garbled audio via BT and that can be resolved by downloading Realtek's Windows 10 HD audio codec. I hope this information is helpful to anyone who has faced the same issue. I know personally I spent numerous hours with both Dell and Microsoft trying hopelessly to get this resolved. Thankfully I just gave in and plugged away at my own research and managed to get the issue resolved. It took me about 3 hours of research and only 5 minutes to actually get it going (including restart and device pairing). So glad I got this resolved... good luck.
I wonder if a reboot with the bluetooth device disabled in BIOS, then make sure everything related to bluetooth is truly gone, and then reboot with the device re-enabled through BIOS might get you past WIndows trying to be "helpful" and automatically re-installing something before you wanted it to? And then do the install you want to do. Just a guess. Good luck.
Visit the Realtek website and download the correct codec for your Windows 10 install (32bit or 64bit). Here is the link below if for some reason the link gets stripped out by a moderator just Google Realtek, choose downloads from the top and on the right hand column you will see a link for codecs.
Download the Realtek HD codec as well as the driver if you are still having garbled sound out of your headset. Be sure also to download the version corresponding to your Windows Install. ( if your windows is 32 bit or 64 bit ) if you install the wrong one it will not help you. Hope this is helpful.
On further investigation I found that the laptop's BT was not on and the button to activate it had disappeared from the windows 10 action centre panel thing. I have checked the device manager and the BT section has disappeared; on viewing hidden items there is no BT hardware entry.
I recently updated some drivers following an notification from the Dell Update service. It seems very likely that the updates and loss of BT are related. The updates were primary Intel chipset related stuff (I cannot find an update history in the Dell Update software so I'm not 100% sure).
I tried to use system restore yesterday from several previous points created over the last few driver and windows updates, but all the restores failed. I tried also to do the restore by booting windows into troubleshooting mode; same result. Checking again today, and now all the system restore points have disappeared so that option is gone even if it had worked.
I got the latest BT drivers directly from Qualcomm (10.0.0.309) but their installation made no difference. I also reinstalled the drivers using Dell Support (Killer Wireless AC Driver 10.0.0279) - no joy.
I tried rolling back to the previous 'Intel(R) Management Engine Components Installer' driver to no avail. Going back to the latest (11.6.0.1047) also changes noting. I suspect this driver merely implements all the other intel sub-component drivers and that they may need to be rolled back, but I haven't a clue where to start and I'm not even sure what these drivers do.
I'm frustrated. In addition to this problem I previously had to seek out separate Intel graphics drivers to stop the stuttering problem. I do not feel I should have to be spending an inordinate amount of time doing this sort of thing for a premium, relatively new (bought in Match) off-the-shelf computer. Do Dell not check drivers before rolling them out through Dell Update?
3. Are you getting any errors when installing the drivers, I also couldnt connect my devices a couple of weeks back with the driver installation throwing this "a problem occurred installing this update package" but I was able to solve the problem using tips outlined here.
If you don't see the Bluetooth device in Device Manager, that means the system is not recognizing it during boot. If you check Windows update, update history, there are two sections which might show an update, drivers and Others on the bottom after the Quality Updates.
4. I only have a bluetooth mouse but, regardless, the bluetooth device itself has 'disappeared' (windows/device manager etc. don't even recognise BT hardware is installed) so no bluetooth devices will work.
I think, from the chronology and when I noticed the lack of Bluetooth (which, admittedly, may have been a few days after the loss of bluetooth - I don't use the mouse every time and don't use bluetooth for anything else) that the failure occurred coincident with the Dell chipset update.
Regarding the Wi-Fi suite, I honestly hadn't noticed anything was installed until i specifically looked for it and found Killer Network Manager. But I have never used this software before, there has been no tray app or anything. I will try uninstalling it in case it has some sort of service in the background, but I think it unlikely to be the cause as, on checking the version number, it seems significantly out of date and therefore hasn't been updated recently (or ever) so I don't see why it would suddenly cause BT to stop working when it was fine before.
More convinced than ever that this was to do with the Intel Chipset drivers, I used the Dell update service to roll back to the previous Intel 'Management Engine Components Installer' version (11.6.0.1030, A00). I have no idea what this does but it seems to be connected to the Chipset drivers (the file name is 'Chipset_Driver_9W0T7_WN32_11.6.0.1030_A00.EXE'. Restarted and voila! Bluetooth is back! (I think previously I tried rolling back the 'Intel Chipset Device Software Driver' rather than the 'Management Engine Components Installer', which is not what I reported in my original post.
I went to the Dell Drivers and Downloads site in order to get a driver for my bluetooth. The driver I found was C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R140135, I checked the compatibility and it is supposed to be compatible with my system and Windows Vista 32 bit. However, whenever I try to install it, a window pops up instructing me to push Fn+F2 or the Radio on/off switch. Fn+F2 does not work and there is no radio switch. I tried to start over from the beginning, now it's telling my I need Windows Vista to install this driver ... I am using Windows Vista. I checked the Device Manager ... no exlamation points or question marks. Does anyone know what's going on???
Please help me I'm stuck. I have Inspiron 3250 with Win10 64bit and I am trying to ensure I have latest drivers installed, in particular for bluetooth because I suspect an underlying problem there. I have visited the dell driver website, entered my s-tag and performed automatic searched for drivers. It says "No driver updates found. Your system has the most recent updates". But if I manually search under the category 'Network' for Win10 it says I should have "Dell Wireless 1801 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver", Version 2023.14.615.2015, A00, released 24 Sep 2015, but last updated 24 Jun 2020. -au/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=rh6h6&oscode=wt64a&productcode=inspiron-3250-small-desktop
I'm expecting to see a driver dated 24 Jun 2020, so I tried downloading and installing the Dell Wireless 1801 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver, but early on during installation I get a message "There are unauthorised Bluetooth adapters in your system. Please remove or disable the devices and click 'OK'.". I click ok and it says "Realtek Bluetooth is not installed on your system". I hit continue and it says "Now installing REALTEK PCIE Wireless LAN Driver" and 'successful' but I think that latter part is for WiFi not Bluetooth. When I check the Bluetooth driver versions they have not updated.
Any ideas on how to fix or what I'm doing wrong?
BTW: If you recently updated to Win 10 v2004, Dell hasn't tested either the Inspiron 3520 laptop or the Inspiron 3250 desktop for compatibility with this new version, so it's quite possible the BT drivers won't work with this new version of Win 10...
I am so sorry, that was a typo, I have small desktop 3250.
My hard drive died a while back and I had my local PC shop install SSD and Win10 on it. I had lent them my Dell recovery media (dell factory image) DVD to assist with re installation of Win10, but I'm not sure if they used it. That's why I'm not sure if I have the correct drivers. Now that you mention dell drivers not yet tested for v2004, perhaps I should look into disabling version updates to give dell chance to catch up?
Next, I'm wondering if there is a generic Microsoft Bluetooth driver getting in the way from the proper dell driver(s) installing. Should I try deleting the first 6 and last 2 drivers in screen capture below and then try re-installing driver from dell site? Or is this a bad idea?
Hi, the Bluetooth seems to connect to my Sennheiser 458BT bluetooth headset but the quality/clarity is poor, perhaps missing bass and volume, and every now and again you can hear voice/music becoming garbled like as if its loosing data packets in transmission, even though I'm within 2m of the dell desktop. For comparison, if I pair same headset with my iphone the sound quality is noticeably better and there is never any garbled audio.
Its an issue for me because I'm working from home on my dell, due to covid19, and next door are renovating making lots of noise interrupting my calls and video conferences. The headsets are noise cancelling which is great, but my work colleagues say I sound terrible when I'm using the headset through my dell desktop.
Dell hasn't (and probably won't) test this model for compatibility with Win 10 v2004. And we've already seen other other Dell models which haven't been tested for v2004 compatibility having BT issues after updating to v2004.
