WHEN: 09 March 2014 01:00:02PM (-0600)

WHERE: 412 W. Elm St., Urbana, IL

Starting topic: should we expect there to be easy ways to improve your life (life hacks)? Two articles that bear on this by Gwern and Scott.

Also, I'm going to finish up my sequence of posts on logical uncertainty (starts here) by then, and would be pleased to answer questions.

Hello,

The name's Joe Betz. I heard about this meetup through the "Nearest Meetup" feature on the website. Just thought I'd give you a heads up so you're not surprised by a new face. Depending on how the homework goes tonight, I should be able to make it for at least an hour or so.

I'm relatively new to the LessWrong community. Wouldn't really call myself a member, but I'm interested in the general subject matter. Rationality, productivity, intelligence amplification, etc.

A couple questions: will it be starting at 1pm? And is 6pm the proposed end time? The "when" info is a little confusing.

Anyways, look forward to the discussion, and to meeting you all.

Best,
Joe

Hey Joe, looking forward to seeing you at the meetup. It is indeed starting at 1pm. the "(-0600)" is the timezone. Meetups usually end whenever people have to leave or we run out of things to discuss.
