Can't remember if I talked about this at previous meetings...

The Festival of Bad Ad Hoc Hypotheses was a science festival inspired by this comic http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=2853 held last October at the MIT

The idea was simple : you had to present a well-argued and thoroughly researched theory explaining a particular evolutionary adaptation, based on a ludicrous hypothesis (and hence conclusion).
