TruTops Boost is a unique software which can be used for the 2D/3D design and programming of laser, punching, punch laser and bending machines, boosting your performance at the touch of a button. Become more profitable! Boost your business.
The all-in-one solution enables you to cover several process steps and work consistently. All of the steps in an order are included, from the 2D/3D part to the finished NC program for bending, punching, and laser programs.
You can expand your TruTops Boost to suit your requirements perfectly. Options such as the (remaining) material stock management help you maintain an overview of your material stock. The part separation helps you with faster sorting at the laser machine.
Our shop is asking for a 3D file that communicates a cutting path for a TRUMPF 5-axis laser for the below part. The problem is the cut line that connects the small holes along the bulged sheet metal's dome (ignore the bolt holes around the periphery). I can model the cut pattern, but the program wants to cut along it twice as it picks up the two edges of the feature instead of recognizing it as a path. I have no clue how to model a single line to define a cut path.
However, I cannot use it as-is because I have an interrupted cut pattern, and the split command demands a closed loop. I've included a picture below of our common cut patterns for reference (keep in mind these are top down views of bulged parts, a dxf won't help me out). I tried creating an incomplete revolution, splitting it, and then filling in the remainder; but Inventor (and the laser) see it as two discrete bodies.
