Encryption security? (also xattr status?)

How secure is the encryption support? Was it designed, implemented, and/or audited by an actual cryptographer? Would you trust it with your life savings?

Is xattr status coming soon? It seems at least one of the major web browsers is making active use of them for user.xdg.origin.url (which seems quite handy!), and lessfs's lack of support is somewhat messing up my ability to use it for backups as a result...

Hi Luke,

The encryption support was not audited nor is it the highest grade in the industry.
I don't trust my life savings on any filesystem without a proper backup and Lessfs is no exception.

I currently have no plans nor the time to work on xattr.
