Hi,

I've been using lessfs quite happily - for a month or so - for storing live libvirt disk images.

I may have forgotten to manually unmount the lessfs volume(!) before powering down after which acccessing a certain image file makes lessfs crash.

There's no core dump, but these lines show up when lessfs crashes.

May 23 22:00:16 ubuntu lessfs[3255]: Data found with unsupported compression type <F7>
May 23 22:00:16 ubuntu lessfs[3255]: file_read_block : inode 163 - 8 failed to decompress block

Is there any way for me to have the disk image restored?

I have backups so this is no disaster - just an annoyance. Although it makes me wonder whether if I'm using lessfs for something it wasn't designed for.

The machine is running Ubuntu 14.04 on a Samsung SSD 840 drive.

(Also: I think lessfs is quite an awesome project - thank you for the efforts.)

Weird, could this be a data corruption?
