Bill Fischer joins CII as a Business Development Manager primarily for the Gulf Coast region with a focus on O&G, Power & Automation, IEC Control Gear and Safety. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Methodist University in NC and attended the MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) in WI. Freudenberg Nonwoven, a leading international manufacturer of nonwoven fabrics, has awarded Control Infotech a project to develop a WinCC SCADA system for their main fabric production line. It will replace their current SCADA system that has been obsoleted. Control Infotech, a Siemens Automation Solution Partner for WinCC, will engineer the new client/server SCADA system, configure monitoring screens, and establish Ethernet communications to the multiple PLCs that control the process. Data from the PLCs will be input to the WinCC SCADA application for both monitoring and control.

In his 9 years with the Energy Automation business unit, Clayton held various roles including: Product Marketing of substation automation solutions, managing the proposal group in support of substation based automation products and systems, project and engineering management responsibility for the Siemens RTU products, and management of the Energy Automation production operations at the Wendell, NC facility. Siemens Industry, Inc. recently chose Control Infotech, Inc. to design and implement a plant-wide power monitoring system for their project at an Ohio steel mill. The system gathers data from Schweitzer protective relays and ION meters located it electrical rooms throughout the facility, integrating this information into a PLC-based data concentrator via Modbus TCP/IP. It displays and reports the data utilizing a Wonderware Archestra server / multi-client system.


Siemens Energy, Inc. chose Control Infotech, Inc. as the DCS system supplier for two 100 megawatt gas turbine power plants for their customer. Control Infotech's scope includes: coordination of 8 turbine generators per plant, plant-wide DCS integration, plant-wide switchgear automation & control, plant-wide power monitoring, plant-wide SCADA, 61850 networking to protection relays and Modbus TCP/IP networking for the balance of the plant.
