Relays: It sort of works for relays, but acts a bit weird - the name only becomes visible after making another relay (copy or make another on the same wire). Also, copy-name-mode only works TO a relay, not FROM a relay to a node.

a colleague asked me if I knew a way to copy the name of a selected model tree element to the clipboard.
Since I could not find an out-of-the-box solution, I developed a small tool for this purpose myself:
"Copy Model Tree Element Name To Clipboard"
Maybe someone else would like to use the tool.

@MikeWayzovski already told you how. Just to clarify: both the Component Definition and each Component Instance have a name property. The name on the Component Definition, like the Component Definition itself, is the same for all instances. The name on a Component Instance is private to just that instance.

But again, if the instance is nested inside a containing component, that instance name will propagate to all the other instances of the container too. The Component Definition is the same, so its specs for its contents are the same for all its instances.

I know it's an old question but I was also looking for a way to do this and if you select the files you need and then press shift + right click -> 'copy as path', you can get the complete file paths without using the command prompt. Then you can use a quick find and replace to remove the parts of the paths that you don't need. It takes about five seconds.

Try clicking on a the file and then clicking on it after a short pause it will get into rename mode and then you can copy the name of the file .
Or you can drag the file to run menu and it will show the file name (but along with the file path) . Or you can do the following if you have too many file names to copy
Launch command prompt
Navigate to the folder you want file names from
Type out the following : dir /d>listoffiles.txt
This will create a txt file with list of all the files/folders in your folder in you D drive.

I'm kinda new to stackoverflow platform and particularly to VBA, just making my first steps. So I have the following problem:There are several sheets in my workbook and I need to copy names of these sheets except name of one sheet to which I'm copying these names to. Names should be copied to a particular place, too.So far I came up with this:

Code needs to loop through every sheet except the one I'm copying to, derive names from these sheets and copy it to the lastrow + 1 of column G of last sheet I understand technically what I need to do to come up with the solution but I got really stuck in a problem! I even tried to record a macro where I copied sheet names but unfortunately all VBA gives me is bunch of Select options which are advised to be avoided.Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

I have a table in coda. I want to select two cells (sometimes more cells from a row), copy it using Ctrl+c and paste it without the column names on a text editor. It works if I copy and paste only one cell.
I have to manually delete the column name. Is there any other way to copy paste?

How can I edit one digit of a group of signal names after I copy a schematic group without having to change these individually? It has been some time but I recall using a text editor to do this quickly. I tried the "copy all" which did copy the signal names. Great! But then the Tools>Global Update>Global Property Change... did not work as I expected. I tried using a wild card (*) to retain most of the net name but the tool replaced the net name with the wild card.

WANTED: a one-click method to copy several fields from an Outlook contact record to the clipboard (so that it can be pasted into another program). What I'm wanting is to click a contact in Outlook, then get this:

To my surprise, there doesn't seem to be a way to have the Stamps.com windows application pull the desired data from Outlook, so I'm trying to find a way to copy to the clipboard from inside of Outlook. The way he does it now is he copies the , then switches to the other program and pastes, then switches back to Outlook and copies the .... There's way too many steps in his current routine.

Why don't you simply export the contacts to CSV/Excel and copy/paste from there? Or you can switch to the Contacts tab, change the view to List, arrange the columns as needed and copy/paste them one at a time or all together.

in Outlook, go to Contacts -> Current View, from the dropdown select Manage Views and create a copy of "Cards", select only the columns that you want and save. With the new View selected, copy and paste contacts

It seems to be the case for all metadata fields. Someone just posted in the forum about this issue for copy name, and I've noticed the same for the title and city/state/country/ISO country code. It's not just when pasting, but also when typing in a field with multiple pictures selected.

I used to do this in the Library module by selecting those images I wanted to change the copy name of, and then changing the copy name of a single image which would then be applied across all. Now that doesn't work

ah. yea. you can do that yet. BUT! what you can do is create a parent class that has the common styles. Then for each new element, give those the parent class name, then put a child class with its own custom styles =)

How can I copy a file's full path with the file name in Midnight Commander?
If I press Ctrl+Alt+Enter it's shows this to me in the command line but I can't copy this route.
If I mark a file with 'Insert' and than if I would like to paste this for example in Mousepad or any other text editor with Shift+Insert or Ctrl+V it isn't works.
(Relatively newbie sitting here so if the answer is complicated please write a step-by-step instruction )

But at the same time I have started to use Ranger file manager which is also runs from terminal, extremely fast, easy to use and if I press 'Ctrl' + 'Insert' on a file it is copies the full path with the name of the file itself. Just perfect.

Sure! Rename the worksheet, wait a few moments for the changes to save to the cloud provider, then reload the app editor. The app editor should notice that the worksheet of the old name no longer exists and produce an error. Go to Data >> Tables, to the affected table, to the STORAGE section, and choose the worksheet with the new name for Worksheet Name/Qualifier, and save the change:

I have two Apps that I am developing in parallel, one is development and another in testing. I am now ready to move a spreadsheet from the development app to the test app and want to copy across all the related column structures, views, slices, format rules etc - just for that spreadsheet, not the others I am still working on. Is there any easy way of doing that without having to manually recreate it all?

I would like to use the filter by "current user" functionality but, when pasting names in, the contact column does not pick up that the names are actual contacts. Besides going line by line to assign...What can I do to get the Current User filter to work?

I have a pretty strong feeling that the "Current User" ties the email addresses in the contact list column with the users email address when they log in. Try populating the email addresses of a user or two and then try testing. Although the current user setting does not produce any results unless you are the current user... Meaning, you won't see any users if your name is not on the list.

I'm running into the same or similar issue. I am copying contact names from Excel into a Smartsheet contacts column. The paste does not update to reflect that the user is already in Smartsheet. I expect the cell to have the shaded circle with their first initial/last initial to appear...it doesn't. I have tried the name (first name space last name format) and the email address and the Contact field does not update, or "register" that the user is valid. So a scan down through the column, the user appears in 2 different formats. One - if added manually, appears correctly with the shaded circle/initials. Two - appears as an email address. Then when I create a report that I want to filter on the person, I have to scan through the list and select her twice. Thoughts?

Certificates of account status are often confused with certificates of fact - status issued by the Secretary of State. A "certificate of fact - status" is a certificate issued by the Secretary of State that serves as official evidence of an entity's existence or authority to transact business in Texas. A certificate of fact - status provides a statement of an entity's status, as well as the entity's current legal name and date of formation or registration.
