Yepsame one that I bought. I emailed them and they replied with the customer service number of a specific person to call. They said that if I couldn't get it working after talking to CS I could return it. I haven't called them yet because of a sore throat and I can barely speak but I'll be calling soon.

I finally purchased anew key fob for my car, it is exactly the same as my old one and even came with instructions. So I tried the instructions, no dice. then I let my instincts take over from programming ford remotes but I got nothing. No honk, no lights, nada. the closest I got was after about 4 key cycles the security light would flash as if had deactivated it.

I have an OEM remote now, it has two buttons one large, one small, both oval in shape. the larger of the two is orange and the smaller of the two is light blue, this is the same remote I previously had even though everywhere online says 99 uses grey buttons. So after reviewing the materials provided went on a search for my valet switch, no dice. I did manage to find what looks like I've removed something, under the driver-side of the dash towards the the center console, it is mounted to a small metal bracket with a small connector what looks to be at least 12 pins. I don't recall what or why, but I feel like it may have something to do with the security system considering I have had no response to multiple programing procedures. I also have been unable to find the missing piece. I also have no correct wiring diagrams for my model year vehicle so I have no idea what it is or does... Could someone with key-less entry and security system take a picture of the under-dash area where your right knee would be? I will post a picture of the area i'm referring to as well as the connector/wire colors if requested.

valet mode in the 00 - 04 group is actually security OFF. you can us the key. my 01 outback, came to me in valet mode. i could use the remote to enter and exit, and the key as well, but i could never get the alarm to sound. once i took it out of ''valet'' mode the alarm sounds if i use the key to enter the car, even if i didn't ''arm'' the system with the remote but locked with the button on the door before closing. also, if you lock the doors with the door open the hoen will sound 3 times. if this does not happen you are either in valet mode or the system is busted.

then try accessing program mode. and if you screw up, you have to wait at least 10 minutes to try again. it took me a couple of days, trying every time i entered the car, to get it right. i would print it out.

I lost my key fob... and being the person I am I vaguely remember going under the dash and yanking out whatever was attached to the drivers foot vent, because I kept setting the alarm off and embarrassing myself.

It's right in the middle of the the key-less entry unit on the left side under the dash and the security module which is behind the stereo. I have a picture of the connector, but up until now I haven't been able to find any of the correct wiring diagrams for the system...

So, just to clarify, I should acquire the wiring diagrams for a 2000-2004 security system? If that is correct that I can solve this problem myself. I'm not stupid and I'm not one of those people who's going to ask you to fix it for me. I just need any info I can get on the system before I try anything else.
