Good morning, Roland. As you can see by the time, I still have insomnia over the unfair moratorium on members being allowed to join Dias y Flores COMMUNITY garden. As per your request, I am sending you a screenshot of the board's enhancement of its powers. The board gave itself several powers that were not included in the 2012 By-laws and Rules (which I assume you have a copy of, but if not I can mail you a copy). The board has illegally tried to appropriate the following powers which were never voted on:Chairing MeetingsTaking Minutes at MeetingsCoordinating Subcommittees. In addition they posted a contract for board candidates that likewise did not appear in the 2012 By-Laws and rules. For over a month there were two separate sets of
By-laws and Rules the board had posted on our website. These particular "new" powers have since been taken down because the outlawed Concerned Members group pointed them out.I strongly urge you again to summarily dismiss this board due to its ongoing violations of our By-laws and Rules, its harassment of members and its illegal activities and restore democracy to our garden. We would have signed up 22 members this month if you hadn't stepped in. They would have voted the board out, pure and simple. And they would have democratically put Term Limits in place.I don't understand how you can complain to us at a meeting that GreenThumb can't recruit enough people to run the gardens and then you impose a moratorium on our garden. Why can't these people join our garden? Is it because they might be acquaintances of mine and the board is afraid since they apparently couldn't recruit a single person to join? Isn't this
discrimination? Isn't discrimination a crime? How can we have any resolution in our garden when you are working with only the people who have broken the rules (have you looked at my list of the board's 28 infractions?. I am attaching it again in case you haven't.)I look forward to your reply.Sincerely,Jeff Wright

#yiv1361456279 body {word-wrap:break-word;background-color:#ffffff;}Good morning Jeff

Please refrain from making accusations against other members and especially when involving others. I will reach out to the board to confirm. Also part of you being reinstated means you following garden's bylaws and using the process now in place to resolve any and all issues garden related.

And speaking about two different versions of the garden's bylaws please send me copies so I can review.  We are now in the process of
reviewing the bylaws and are not done revising. After which a draft version of the bylaws will be distributed to the garden's general membership for review and signoff.

And remember no member is above anyone else and so we must treat everyone equally and with respect. This has been going on for several years now and need to stop. Please stop these emails and work with others so we can change for the better the atmosphere at the garden. This is a space for the community to come together, socialize and garden.

For GreenThumb

Deputy Director Green Thumb
Dear Mr. Chouloute, did you get the information about the Dias y Fores Community Garden Board of Directors changing the By-laws and Rules of Dias y Flores Community Garden without membership approval. They actually still have two versions of the By-laws and Rules posted on the garden web-site.  I have a screenshot of the altered version that they did illegally.
Many of the same board members were the cause of mediation five years ago. I still think they are corrupt bullies and they all need to go. This flagrant power grab, secretly changing the By-laws and Rules to enhance their control, will be on the agenda at our membership meetings this week.
Sincerely, Jeffrey Cyphers Wright
on behalf of the group
formerly known as The 13 Concerned Members of Dias y Flores Community Garden, now outlawed by Green Thumb.
ps-- did you have a chance to look at the list of 25 infractions the board committed which I gave you?
pps-- and were you aware of the private entrance to the Community garden in the back?
