Knitting for Beginners

Learn to knit in a relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere. This 4-week course guides beginners through the basics of casting on, knitting, purling and binding off. Increasing, decreasing and stitching seams will enable new knitters to produce a luxurious baby-size hat by the end of our last class.
COURSE FEE: $90 (To register, call Les-Ann at 646.395.4081)
MATERIALS FEE: $18 (payable at first class to instructor)
Includes: Wool/acrylic blend yarn, knitting needles, crochet hook, blunt sewing needle for finishing, plus cotton/acrylic blend yarn for baby hat.
Instructor Jeanne Sondheim learned to knit and crochet as a child and has taught knitting, crochet, beadwork and sewing for more than 20 years. She has designed and written patterns for various publications, yarn manufacturers and textile professionals. Her patient, hands-on style of teaching is perfect for beginners.
