VRChat for some reason keeps giving me that error and it won't load after that. I can't even press the "Okay" button. Is this an issue that many people are experiencing, or is it just me? The error then proceeds by saying that I need to use a PC and a cable to play VRChat with quest link. I've done that and I can play it, but the point is that I want to play VRChat without my PC so I can play anywhere, and this error keeps blocking me from doing that. Is there a fix to this issue? if so how? (I've tried reinstalling, using my phone hotspot, restarting the device)

I don't know if you still have this problem but I did to and I fixed it. I downloaded vrchat on my PC, made sure my world and avatar where vr compatable. Then I opened vrchat through my phone on the oculus app and it worked. I changed my wifi and reset my headset to. Hope this helps

Hey @IceJellie! We completely understand it is not ideal being unable to hop right on and enjoy the amazing world of VR. We are here to help out with the issues you are experiencing. From the information you have to us we see you've already tried a few steps to come to a conclusion. VRchat has a version for Meta Quest, and also a PCVR version. You may be experiencing a network restriction, we suggest first trying to reconnect to another network connection/hotspot again if possible. Another thing could be your home world in VRchat may be set to a PC world only. We hope the information given helps you fix the issues you are experiencing, if not please reach back out to us!

Hey there, @ffsdfsdfs.2023! We see you're also reporting the same error message as @IceJellie, and we absolutely want to do our best to get to the bottom of this issue! To clarify with you both, is this the only app on your headset having these issues? Is your headset and Meta Quest mobile app completely up to date with the newest software? Also, have you tried launching this app directly from your library in the Meta Quest mobile app? Please keep us updated and we can continue from there!

Have you already attempted to disable the Air Link functionality? Air Link issues can sometimes be resolved by completely disabling the function and rebooting the device. If you haven't, please follow the steps below to ensure the process is completed properly:

I am trying to figure out if I can interface with my emby server from within VRchat's video player which accepts links to Youtube/Twitch content. My assumption is that it is not possible because of the emby authentication mechanism.

@altramarine How did you capture the download link to play the video, when I click the download link it just downloads the video again? (and once you had the correct link, how did you get it to play the movie instead of download it?)

Right now the download link, like the one you posted above with the api_key, just redownloads the file as if I clicked the download button on Emby again. The URL on Emby for the video page, also like you posted above with the /web/index.html, just takes me to our login page for the Emby server and even after logging in, it just takes me to the Home screen.

Note: In my case, my Emby server is exposed to the interweb via a public domain name (xxxxxxx.servebeer.com) and I perform the operation above via that public domain name which is why I am able to use it in VRChat. Your case may be different.

I've been trying to figure this out for quite a while now. It used to be easy. There used to be mods for VRChat for third person, very helpful for those that can't play first person games or use a headset, but since VRChat removed mods that's not an option anymore.

It's also apparently possible to change the position of the camera on a model itself to achieve third person, but that would only apply to that one model and it's something that has to be done before adding the model to the game. It's not something that would work for models that are already in the game. Every single model you use would have to be created by you with the camera adjusted or you just have to never switch your model if you want stay in third person.

I've even tried getting the game to launch the VR version instead of the desktop version to make use of the options that are only available in the VR version, but Steam refuses to. Even when choosing the VR version option it just launches the desktop version anyway.

Both of these prefabs will play a video of your choosing, synchronized for everyone in your world. They won't loop - the graph turns off looping for now to get sync to work. If you want them to loop, turn on 'Loop' and remove the UdonBehaviour.

You don't have to use the "UdonSyncPlayer" Udon Behaviours. You can use just the VRC Video Player component if you don't need the videos synced in your world. You can also make your own Sync Graphs using the provided one as a starting point or you can make one from scratch.

Why would you choose one or the other?AVPro supports live streams on multiple platforms, like YouTube Live, Twitch, and some others! You'll need to make a graph that calls PlayURL on the Video Player to make this work. The Unity Video player does not support these live streams.

In addition, AVPro does not play in the editor - you'll need to Build & Test your world to see it working. Unity Video works in Play Mode in the Editor when using links that point directly to supported video file types like 'mp4' and 'webm'. Hosted services like YouTube and Vimeo will only work in the client.

An application that VRChat uses to resolve links into videos is also available on Android now, so previous workarounds aren't needed. In the past, some workarounds existed for advanced users, because Quest had no URL resolver.

A given user is only permitted to handle a new video player URL once every five seconds. This is a global limit across all video players. This applies to the default URLs as well as those set with LoadURL and PlayURL.

This also applies to late-joiners. If you have 2 video players running in your world, a late-joiner will see that they must send out two video requests. Unmanaged, they will attempt to do so simultaneously and will fail. In cases where you have more than one video player playing simultaneously in a world, you'll have to account for this.

You may want to consider looking into a "content delivery network" (CDN) to host your content. This is useful if you plan on your video being accessible for many users, or to be fast for many users across the world. CDNs will distribute your file across many servers worldwide to ensure that there is a source close to the viewer to ensure fast downloads.

We have tested Amazon Cloudfront and BunnyCDN. CDN services are usually paid services, but tend to be low-cost for bulk storage/transmission of data. However, due to their openness, they are not present in our allowlist and will require that users enable the "Allow Untrusted URLs" setting.

When encoding your videos, we strongly recommend uploading a web-optimized version. For .MP4 files, this option is also known as 'fast start'. It is a one-tick setting that makes a huge difference in the streamability of a self-hosted video file. Without fast start, you generally have to download the entire video file for it to play. With fast start enabled, you can stream the video file in chunks, and streams will begin immediately.

Getting into and playing VRChat is easy! Simply put, install the application on the platform of your choice and hop in. There's an in-app tutorial that will guide you through the basics of controls, interacting with the world, and using the UI.

During Second T-Pose Outbreak, Boopkins looks from a window in his house. He comments on how the situation looks scary and decides to stay inside and wait until it's all blown over, then he decides to play VRChat.

VRChat is a social VR application that is fun to be in. I DJ in that application for others and have come across a problem GPU drivers later than 22.5.1. It is a known problem with VRChat and AMD. Users that try to use UDON based media players crash to the steamvr virtual desktop and there is no work around other than avoiding any worlds with media players. Is anyone taking a look at this? The problem does not occur in desktop mode interestingly enough. Only in VR does the crash occur. As soon as a twitch stream link is entered in the media player I get exited from the application with an AMD Error pop up stating the drivers had stalled and had to be restarted.
