Mile's latest blog entry about doing the Taylorville-Raymond Populaire
was a hoot. As Miles said this was the first time we have met in
person but from reading his e-mails, blogs, RUSA literature etc one
draws conclusions. His case study would be interesting reading in
Psychology Today Magazine. Multiple Personalities comes to mind and
as we rode along I wasn't quite sure which one I was addressing.

Nevertheless it was good to meet and ride with him. We shared war
stories, had a few laughs and discovered we knew many of the same
people in biking. His enthusiasm about biking is contagious and he
constantly looks how to improve Little Eqypt Randonneuring. I hope
people realize how much time and personal expense Miles has invested.
It is a labor of love for him and he expressed how proud he is about
the progress of some of his riders.

As I skimmed your post, it looked like you said "discovered we knew many of the same people in bikinis"  and I couldn't for the life of me remember talking about that.  But, of course, you said the same people in biking.  That makes more sense.

And the days I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations - I have really good days.  ~Ray Wylie Hubbard
