So upon my 100th or so viewing of this episode the other day something suddenly struck me. Now, I've never played D&D or anything similar in my life, so my grasp of the rules may simply be lacking, but I couldn't help but find the following odd. At the beginning of the episode, Abed describes the rules of the adventure the group is about to play, The Caverns of Draconis. Among other things, he explains that for the adventure to be completed successfully, Draconis - the dragon - and his treasure have to be found and conquered. A short while into the game Pierce joins, but he is soon separated from the group for acting against their interests. While the group carries on with the adventure, Pierce gets a hold of a copy of the Draconis book. As such, he manages to quickly locate and obtain an amulet which grants him full control over Draconis. However, although he has now captured the dragon - and, one would assume follows logically, so also the treasure - the adventure still continues, and he uses the dragon to exact revenge on the group (something at which he ultimately fails, since he loses at the end).
Neil (Charley Koontz) is depressed after being perpetually mocked and called "Fat Neil". Since Neil enjoys Dungeons & Dragons, Jeff (Joel McHale) feigns interest in it and organizes a game with the study group. Pierce (Chevy Chase) is not invited, as the others worry he would offend Neil. Abed (Danny Pudi) serves as dungeon master and explains that the goal is to defeat the dragon Draconis. He provides pre-made characters for the study group while Neil plays as his own character, Duquesne. The group is inexperienced and struggles initially, but Duquesne easily defeats several goblins with his sword, impressing the others.
A new species of intestinal coccidian is described from the weedy or common sea dragon Phyllopteryx taeniolatus housed at the New England Aquarium in Boston and at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, USA. Live oocysts of Eimeria phyllopterycis sp. n. are spherical, 30.9 (28.0-34.4) microm, with a thin, single-layered wall. Both a micropyle and oocyst residuum are absent and a large polar granule is sometimes present. Sporocysts are ellipsoidal and elongate, 24.3 x 10.4 (23.4-25.6 x 9.2-11.2) microm, with Stieda and substieda bodies; shape index (length/width) 2.33 (2.14-2.70). A sporocyst residuum is present, consisting of numerous granules of various sizes. Sporozoites each possess 3 refractile bodies. Preliminary evidence suggests that the coccidian may affect the health of sea dragons; however, it could not be determined whether this parasite caused significant morbidity or mortality.
[Reanimated] Mismatch between JavaScript part and native part of Reanimated (3.0.2 vs. 2.14.4). Did you forget to re-build the app after upgrading react-native-reanimated? If you use Expo Go, you must downgrade to 2.14.4 which is bundled into Expo SDK.
if u are using expo, there might be facing this kind of version issues due to differences between react native cli.The solution that u can try is to change your dependencies version of react native reanimated in package json to "react-native-reanimated": "^2.14.4",and run npm install.Last try to run command: expo start -c to reset the cache in your app and it will works perfectly fine!
