Has anyone else had problems connecting to facebook? My whole GC app was getting wonky, so I did a delete - reinstall, but now it won't let me recover my account. I just keep getting a Login error. I have tried to do this through the app, and the desktop version (on multiple browsers). I've tried logging all devices out of facebook, and nothing works. Playdemic support basically said it's facebook's problem and not theirs (shocker). Any advice?
But I don't think that the single use of one feature, namely authentication, of a service would count as being linked on all their features. On top of that, you're not forced by SE to use a Facebook login, you can use Google or a simple username/password with SE itself. We can only be sad that OpenId was scrapped.
If anything, I would support adding more different major authentication providers (like GitHub or Microsoft Live (or whatever it is called nowadays) and not remove the login option for over one million users. Stack Overflow needs users to survive, become profitable and remain relevant.
We have enabled facebook as social connection and set the email as required attribute. Many users managed to subscribe and login with facebook on our app and we get their email in the auth token and auth0 user profile, but today we had a user who managed to subscribe with facebook, but in her auth0 profile the email is empty, and also no email in the token. How can this be if we set up the email as required attribute in the facebook connection configuration?
We ended up setting up servers that mocked the parts of the Facebook APIs that were exercised in our tests. We then redirected the test environment to resolve the facebook domain names to our those servers. It was not easy, but this approach had several advantages
Since the last update, the game keeps prompting me to connect with Facebook, but then gives me an error message "App not Active".
So presumably my "backup using facebook" isn't happening, but as a non-techie can someone explain what this means to me?
I mainly play on an ipad, but sometimes use my iphone.
I can still play the game on the ipad, and it seems to be remembering changes to my roster, so is there any cause for concern?
I am currently avoiding logging on with the iphone, as I am worried that this will log me out of my ipad, and I will lose progress since the last Facebook backup.
Are my fears unfounded?
Important note if you play other Niantic games: Account linking and unlinking takes effect across all Niantic products. Unlinking a login provider that is used for multiple Niantic games will unlink the login provider for all of those games. For example: if you're unlinking a Google account from your Pokémon GO account, you will no longer be able to log into any other Niantic game with Google.
Follow the prompts to link your account. Once your account is linked, you can use that login provider to sign into your Pokémon GO account. If you receive an error message when attempting to link a login provider to your account, it is often because that account is already linked to another Pokémon GO account.
Note about child accounts: If you have linked a Google, Apple, or Facebook login provider to Pokémon GO, you will not be able to link a Niantic Kids or Pokémon Trainer Club kids account to Pokémon GO.
You may update your Google, Apple, Facebook login providers at any time. To do so, unlink the account you no longer want, and re-link your desired account. Keep in mind that to do so, you will need to have a secondary login linked from one of these login providers, as you are unable to unlink all login methods from your account at one time.
I have an existing dating app in the App Store which uses Facebook login for quick registration and subsequent logins - the app captures the users DOB and gender for age restrictions and match filtering.
What App store review staff is unable to explain is the difference between asking a user email via facebook login and asking a user email during a registration process. In both case, The app will ask for the user email...
Users are able to do plenty of other things without signing in, but if they want to create a 'portfolio' in my app they need to login through facebook, google, or twitter (I'm using Azure Mobile Services built in OAuth login). I use some of their social info for their 'portfolio', but it's mostly a way of authenticating users (which seems like the standard based on the number of apps that use it and the fact that it's built into azure). They are also able to share their stats to facebook, twitter, etc.
This is absolutely ridiculus I just had this happen to me. My app uses facebook twitter and linkedin optionally to sign in, they dont have to use it there is also a local authentication system. Single sign on is almost a demand in any app these days by users. The app then syncs profile imformation so users dont have to type it in. who wants to fill that out a million times!? The app also allows people to share there videos to there facebook. As far as I have seen these are the main reasons to integrate a social media sdk in any app!!! To top it off my app uses the graph api on facebook and others to track analytics. Yet this is not sufficient reason to use facebook twitter authentication!? Lately my apps have been rejected for ridiculus things every time Im not sure whats changed but until now I have had 0 rejections and been submitting apps for over 3 years. I am not impressed Apple. btw last time it was rejected for not providing a demo account when there was a registration area that accepted 3 fields. Ive had 4 other apps and apple just registered accounts. Things are really going down hill in apple review land.
I have been using an OpenVPN client and use 2 or 3 browsers depending upon the context. Today, I wanted to log into my facebook account but the login page was different. The url seems legit, and upon further inspection using "inspect element" I found the following websites " " which also seems legit facebook address used for "cross domain concerns" I have attached the respective image files for reference. But the thing is, if I try to access the same website from chrome I get the regular login page. I also noticed that when I log into my router a message, " this website is not secure" pops up (by kaspersky). It also shows the old default ip address (images attached for better understanding). Is this a concern ? is my router targeted by a DNS attack which is redirecting websites ? I did login to the router and updated the firmware and reboot it, change the default login ip address, but this problem still appears. Any advice ?
So yesterday I tried to get on madden mobile, when it said I had to connect to Facebook once again. So it took me to Facebook, I authorized, brought me back to the app where it said login failed. It's been like this since yesterday. I've tried deleting, reinstalling, restarting my device, and deleting the app from my Facebook.
I just got a new iPad and downloaded madden mobile. I went to connect to Facebook but then it said login failed please try again and I've tried countless times. I even deleted and redo loaded the app but nothing is working. What should I do?
Social Auth Facebook allows users to register and login to your Drupal site with their Facebook account. The module allows websites to request any scopes, so any tasks requiring authentication with Facebook services can be performed. This module is based on Social Auth and Social API projects
I wish to enable users to skip registration and login via facebook, but there seem to be multiple plugins for that. Have you had experience with any of these? Also, is there no search function for this support forum?
[ note: wp-fb-autoconnect is a facebook only solution, and everything is installed / controlled on your site; Pro version is a one off payment. Loginradius is a SaaS solution, with monthly payment plans to enable full features, remove labelling, etc. If you want a full SaaS solution, you should also look at Janrain, Gigya and Oneall. ]
hello,
I am trying to implement facebook social login in our FastAPI based application, integrating with Identity platform (identity toolkit APIs). Upon adding facebook identity provider under the identity platform, I could successfully invoke createAuthUri and signInWithIdp endpoints. However, there are some observations from the entire login flow -
I have followed the same documentation to execute signInWithIdp API for facebook login. The execution is successful, however the response doesn't consist of idToken and refresh token as mentioned in the documentation.
Facebook login is the world's largest social networking platform founded by mark Zuckerberg along with his fellows from Harvard college in 2004. facebook help you stay connected with your friend and family and love once.
Hello everyone. I had an issue related to log in to Playfab with Facebook Limited. Thanks to @Jay Zuo for helping with my problem. I got the new one. It's about players' accounts. Let's imagine the situation: some users are logged into Playfab by a method which is called "LoginWithFacebook()". Then they updated their iOS to 14.5 that has the updated requirements of IDFA. It's why we have to use "LoginWithOpenID" to log in to Playfab instead of "LoginWithFacebook", which provides us the JWT token. So, if the user is logged with "LoginWithFacebook" from its account and then logins with "LoginWithOpenID" from the same one, Playfab creates a new account instead of using the same. It can disappoint users when a user authenticating from 1 Facebook account receives 2 different Playfab accounts with different data by the reason of using different login ways. I supposed that there is no difference in which way you are using to log in to Playfab if you are using the same account.
In the workflow, players can link both Facebook and OpenId Connect to the account at the same, so that they can use Facebook account and OpenID Connect to login their accounts on the different devices.
