I have no programming experience and would like to ask if this course is suitable as a first step for beginners who aim to become a Java software engineer ? I have seen comments about Abdul Bari on the Internet but most of them only focus on his Data Structures & Algorithms. I'm a little confused because it says this course is for Beginner in java programming and Requires Basic Knowledge of Programming. Does it mean it is not suitable for a newbie like me?

I was lucky - I had wanted to learn C++ for my own reasons. So somewhere along the way, I decided to take this amazing Abdul Bari course. As a result, when I got to CS 344, the syntax was familiar, I understood pointers, and so I didn't have the one-two punch double whammy of trying to learn all of that AT THE SAME TIME as the actual Operating Systems content.

I cannot recommend this course enough. It's so good. He explains things thoroughly. His content is clear and well-presented. (If you've already taken the algorithms course, you already know how amazing his courses are.) If you buy the course when it's on sale, it's under $20.

There are other, shorter intro-to-C type things that you can find, but this course is so great that I just really wanted to come in and share it with everyone. I have gone back to it many times since I bought it when I needed a refresher on how some particular piece of syntax works. (Pass by value? Pass by reference? Pass by address? How did that work again?)

Edit: Wanted to highlight something that was pointed out in the comments, Abdul Bari also has a Data Structures and Algorithms course that goes into C/C++ that would also be a great fit for saving you from the oncoming train that is CS 344.

I'm a sophomore and my DSA course instructor is no good in teaching. I'm contemplating buying Abdul Bari's Udemy course, upon checking many Reddit threads and googling around. But then found out he has an algorithm course in YouTube. I don't understand what difference the Udemy course will have from the YouTube one. Can somebody who knows better, tell me if I should go ahead buying the Udemy course, or whether the YouTube one , is good enough??

In this concise but powerfully argued book, he brings to light the scale and barbarity of their suffering and argues that the international community, through the UN, must ensure their full repatriation with full citizen rights to their homeland.

Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari is a British civic society activist , educationalist, parenting consultant and author. He was born in Bangladesh and began his career as an Air Force officer there, but moved to the UK for Physics research at London University in the early 1980s. He then moved into secondary Science teaching in the 1990s, taking an early retirement as a Specialist teacher in Behaviour Support in 2011. Since then, he has focused on writing, working with civil society bodies, facilitating his own parenting course and mentoring young people.

Dr Nafi lives in Oxfordshire and is a part-time lecturer at Birkbeck College, part of the University of London, where he teaches on the postgraduate diploma course in Islamic studies and for the certificate/diploma programme, as well as two courses run jointly by Birkbeck's faculty of continuing education and the independent Muslim College.
