Somfymotorized shades come with a remote that can be attached to your wall like a light switch, but I just keep ours in a decorative brass bucket on the coffee table. You can program several different channels. Our first channel controls all three shades at one time. Literally the press of a button and they all go all the way up or down, just like the windows of your car. In the morning I can tap the button on my way to the kitchen. No more standing there thinking about how much time this adds up to doing it every day. I am probably the least tech savvy person in our family, but you can also connect the shades using the MyLink app to your Amazon Alexa!

I believe BMW patched this in one of their later versions. I was able to run ISTA/P on Win 11 just fine around the time when ISTA/P BDR client was firstreleased, but the latest release will not install. If you peek in the install logs you will probably see there is a password error when extracting the main file library.

Just installed ista p in June will not work on windows 11 I had to uninstall 11 and install 10 and stop the java 64 bit from running or the j2534 pass thru will not be recognized and if you are doing lots of bmw or mini programming I would get the icom if not j2534 is incredibly slow

So according to their IT they will release the compatible version of ISTA/P in November of this year. I will just have to continue not worry about programming BMW, Mini's, or Rolls' for a while. Not going to handicap every other program on my computer just for one program that I only use every once in a while.

elaborate why using a j2534 PT isn't going to work.. Just speculative question since its mandatory that the system be able to work with the unit. Also WTF BMW? do they have different OS in different cars? That just makes it hard on themselves

If it is a US 2014 328D this should be an F30 chassis which should be programmed with ISTA+, not ISTA P. ISTA+ is also not supported by windows 11 but I can pretty much always make it work. The latest version of ISTA P will not work on windows 11. If you are working on an E90 chassis diesel 3 series ISTA P would be required.

The next day, the bottom dropped out and we had a series of days where we never broke 0 degrees, with overnight windchills hovering around -40 degrees.
