new tree-specific binding losing old setting?

Hi all - simple question about key bindings

If I add a key binding, with with the "shriek" notation to confine this binding to (say) the tree only...

some-command ! tree SomeKey

then it appears that any previous bindings to SomeKey, eg in the other 'modes' (body...) are lost. I have to reinstate this via

prev-command ! body SomeKey

is this behaviour intentional?

The intention, if there was an intention, happened 10+ years ago. Please do what works :-)

heh, I thought you might say that - just checking.

I will investigate behaviour and the code a little more. I am not 100% convinced about what I am seeing.

Hmm - I think it is more subtle/annoying that I suggested above ... it looks like sometimes my @shortcut nodes in myLeosettings.leo are not being processed, or are not working properly. Command 'show_bindings' seems to give different results on different occasions ;-(.
