Just posted a script for importing a Freemind mindmap into a leo file.
The freemind node's contents are simply set to the leo node's
headline.

Thanks for doing this.

Can you add some documentation on how someone would install and use
it?

Thanks,
TL

P.S. Now you have to implement the "Leo to Freemind" code :)

Hmm... nah, Leo is the future, Freemind is dead :)

Hi all:

Im resurrecting this old post both because the link is dead and I am willing to import my mindmaps into Leo myself.
Actually my plan is first to export my Chrome bookmarks into Mindmap then into Leo (or is there an importing script directly from bookmarks html file?9

Is by any chance the Freemind script included in any of Leo docs/scripts? I have searched for it but with no success.

Thank you.

Not to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean anything :-)

You might try searching this google group for mentions of freemind.  You will get a lot of false positives, but there might be something.

Thanks. Added this:
To my research list so I can use it as soon as I understand it x)
Will update when I test/fix it.

Update:

I exported mm into html file and then dropped it directly into Leo.
Leo imported it properly, but instead of nodes/subnodes/etc I got a HTML tree (Yes, its about a Dollhouse, planning to do that with my gf, dont judge me hehehe)

So next thing to learn for me is to transform that into Leo Nodes. (I dont want to come back to mm so I dont care about lossing information on it, sticking to Leo!!)

As with the rest, I added this "step by step manual" to my Macro tutorials list, which will import a HTML file then show the user how it can be transformed into Leo, and will point towards the information which must be changed for leo to change the way it imports, and some other neccesary things for users to quickly learn about importing. After importing my mindmaps and web bookmarks (which have all my needed resources) I will be starting to program the macro tutor.
