LeoInteg 1.0.25 Released! 🐍✨

Dear Leonistas,

The wait is over! With the recent release of Leo 6.8.6, LeoInteg 1.0.25 is here — bringing long-requested features like venv support and WebSocket compatibility.

With this release:

  • 🐍 Python venv support is finally here!
This has been one of the most requested features for over 2 years, and it's now available! Just set the path to your virtual environment directly from LeoInteg’s settings panel and you're good to go!

  • 🔧 Updated Leo version requirement to 6.8.6, enabling support for WebSocket versions >= 14.0.
This fixes the compatibility issues when using up-to-date WebSocket libraries.

  • 🔍 New commands in the minibuffer:

    • open-aside
    • go-anywhere
    • leointeg-settings
  • 🐞 Bug fixes and improvements
Small tweaks, including a fix for the Leo Editor and server script path not displaying properly in the settings panel.

You can grab this update via auto-update, or manually from

As always, if you have feedback, encounter any bugs, or want to suggest new features, please open a thread here or drop a note on the GitHub Issues page.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed feedback, suggestions, or bug reports!

The 'LeoInteg' extension is now working for me with a 'Leo' instance installed from PyPI into a PyVE in a Fedora 41-based Test-VM.

Thanks a lot for this release !

With kind regards,

Viktor
