Yeah, I've been talking about this a bit on this list as well - or,
well, checksums in general, and checksumming the "whole content" of
derived files in particular. There is still the ultimate cheksum-based
speedup to be done.
I'm also using the md5sum of full path name as location of c.db files
(ls -l ~/.leo/db to check it out).
This is also a good opportunity to plug my per-node version-controlled
backup system at
