LeoJS cannot work in VSCode now,
so i reinstall Leo in macOS under mamba with py 3.10 as:
Leo 6.8.7, stable branch, build aa27889580
Python 3.10.18, PyQt version 6.9.2

but, the default layout is not same old classic;
so i need cfg. as:
```
+-------------+----------------------------+
| outline | Body |
| tree | content |
| pane | pane |
| | |
| | |
| | |
+--------------| |
| log | |
| find | |
| pane | |
| | |
+-------------+----------------------------+
```

How to fixed it?

> ...That is "vertical-thirds". Put a node into your myLeoSettings.leo outline with this headline:

@string qt-layout-name = vertical-thirds

but, myLeoSettings.leo is upgrade from very old version, Leo v2.14,
so can not found @string qt-layout-name like node..

so question is:

+ how to upgrade myLeoSettings.leo into Leo 6+
+ and how to cfg. make default layout is my habit?

thanx for all suggest.

If I understand your question correctly...

you can put the settings node you want anywhere under @settings in your myLeoSettings.leo - the 'structure' of that file is mostly for convenience and understanding.

You can just add a node with that headline to your old myLeoSettings.leo outline.

You can create a new myLeoSettings.leo like this.  First, make a copy of your current file. Then delete or rename myLeoSettings.leo.  Open Leo, and either it will offer to make a new one, or use the Settings/Open myLeoSettings.leo menu item. Leo will offer to create a new one for you. Accept the offer, then after the new setting outline opens, save it.  Then you can add whatever you want.

You will have to see if there are any old settings you want to copy over to the new file, and some of them may not work any more.
