Every once in a long while I run into a site out there in digital space that renderes me speechless and I just can't stop exploring and reading and clicking. Sometimes it's the eye candy, other times it's deep thoughts, or cool new user interface paradigms, or just damn interesting people. And sometimes, sometimes I just can't quite figure out what it is or why I'm intrigued. This is one of those:

It's worth some time, even if I haven't quite found the the words to say why, it just is.

Matt,
I don't follow this discussion for clickbait. Explain why this site is relevant to LEO, please. Thank you.

I can answer this question.  Creativity involves the alternation between focused and diffused thinking.  One way to encourage diffused thinking is by considering seemingly unrelated topics.

More generally, we typically don't censor topics here, except for offensive or political remarks.

It's not about Leo. I tried to pick a subject line that made that clear but I guess that didn't work. From time to time I share things that I discover "out there" that are intriguing to me and I think might also interest some here. In this instance the fellow has a unique approach to storing and displaying information that I haven't encountered before. Leo also has a non-standard approach, so both being birds of uncommon feathers maybe there are some ideas for cross fertilization.

More specifically, the software that controls the website (https://wiki.xxiivv.com/#oscean) is static, yet feels dynamic. The enitre text of the is just one page, with the media only fetched when those sections are navigated to. A slick architecture in my opinion, that puts me in mind of Leo. It's fed by flatfile data tables which are syntax free, using only whitespace, a kind of data markdown. It should be easy even for me to build a Leo parser, if my intrigue lasts long enough to go that way.

cheers,

-matt
