I have noticed the Viewrendered pane lose live-render and become static.

To observe open leo file, and run vr.
The vr pane opens, attached to leo, and not floating.
Hover over a splitter, 'right-click> remove 1 Right'. The vr pane closes.
Now run vr again, and the vr pane opens in a floating window. However this floating window is static, and does not live-render.

Closing the file and re-opening does not restore the live-rendering. You need to close Leo and restart to restore the live-rendering on that file.

To be clear - live render still works on files which have not run 'right-click> remove 1 Right' command.

Leo Log Window

Once live-render is lost, updates in the body pane can be reloaded in the floating window via the reload circular arrows.
However this is a manual process and not live-rendering.

I don't know whether to call this a bug or a feature request.  Leo's Easter Egg interface isn't designed to relocated the vr pane.  It doesn't seem like a high priority.  Feel free to file an issue if you like.

Bug or feature request? That is a good question; I was responding to that intangible called UI feedback....

From a users point of view the effect of 'Remove 1 right' option seems like a bug, as it breaks something you didn't expect to break. Sometimes it is convenient to resume the screen space used by the VR pane, then display the VR pane again. As a workaround I have found  that the vr-hide and vr-show commands as buttons are most suitable for this; you get the screen space back and keep the live render feature.
There are other commands in the 'Easter Egg' menu which retain live render: 'Swap1 1 Left 1 Right'

Re: Leo's Easter Egg interface isn't designed to relocate the vr pane.
Maybe so, but it does seem to relocate the pane.

I have raised a new issue but as I have found a workaround it's a low priority :)
