This is a pre-release version of Leo, but it should be feature-complete.

The GitHub announcement is here.

Install with pip install leo==6.8.10.dev3

Uninstall with pip uninstall leo

Leo should sign on as follows:

Leo 6.8.10.dev3, August 13, 2026
Python 3.14.6, PyQt version 6.11.1

Also, Leo's website has been updated, per the new workflows. You should see the following at the bottom of each page:

Last updated on August 13, 2026.

Summary

This small milestone improves Leo's website.

This is a larger milestone for me. I am now comfortable with maintaining Leo's website and publishing releases.

Please keep testing the "devel" branch!

Edward

One more tip: when generating a release, select 6.8.9 as "previous release" and click "Generate release notes". This gives you full list of all pr's that were part of that release.

Of course you can add your own "curated" text above it, but "raw" list of PR's is still very useful as you can see in dev1 release https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/releases/tag/v6.8.10.dev1

Github Actions straight to PyPi is indeed quite cool way to release python stuff, makes it easy to release fixes early & often
