#2251 suggests removing deprecated and do-nothing methods. The issue itself contains a table of deleted methods, globals and classes, with suggested replacements, if any.
The corresponding PR, #2254, contains the detailed diffs.
I have removed/replaced all deprecated globals from scripts.leo, but these changes have not been tested.
Please report any problems. Thanks.
