1. The find panel does not work. As I was tracking down the first appearance of the scroll bug by trying all revisions of Leo I noticed that the find panel hasn't worked for a very long while. It works in 4.8 but soon after that no text can be entered into the find panel. Minibuffer find command works fine so this is not critical.
2. Another problem is if I move away from Leo in the middle of entering a command (for example if I went to my email to look at the exact name I wanted to find) the unfinished command is lost when I come back to Leo and I have to re-enter the command.
3. I used apropos-find-commands and my body pane split into two windows with the help content in the right window. Firstly all the help texts are in one long string with no proper line breaks (Windows line separator issue?). Secondly I couldn't figure out how to close the new window so the body pane can span the whole bottom half of the screen again. I remember having the same question once when I was trying out some rendering plug-in.

I found Terry's answer to an earlier post that explains the vr pane commands:
That answers the second part of #3.

This one is also a FAQ, answered here by Edward:

First part of #3 is solved by installing docutils. Thanks to the following thread. And I agree the rendered text looks great.

Correct. This is by design, although it's confusing for newbies.
That is, the only way to change the find/change areas are with the
minibuffer change commands. You could call this a doc bug.

At present, losing focus is equivalent to the keyboard-quit command.
I don't remember exactly why, but all such focus issues are both
tricky and debatable.

Imo, the solution to not remembering a command is autocompletion,
however, not some fancy remembering of the minibuffer.

The 'nav' plugin is the only search tool I use, very intuitive.
