Hi!

I'm trying out 'abbreviations' but i cannot seem to be able to do anything with those... :/

I've made sure the enable-abbreviations setting is on, and I read the doc at http://leoeditor.com/abbreviations.html, but honestly, i cannot grasp what i'm supposed to do or what is supposed to happen from reading that documentation page...

Where am i supposed to type def;; ? in the headline? the body pane? the minibuffer input?

should I press 'tab' or 'enter' to activate the abbreviation?

Figured it out (maybe, i think, not sure...)

I was missing the @bool scripting-abbreviations = True

Had to dig in leoSettinge.leo to find that this was needed.

I could finally make the date;; abbreviation work, but still no luck for the def;; abbreviation ... am I missing something?

oh - i got the others to work, the demo;; and the importer;; etc...

I'm guessing the def;; is absent and is a remnant of old default abbreviations that had entries in the documentation but are not defined anymore in leosettings.leo ?

I don't see def;; anywhere.

It's right at the top of the page, given as an example As Felix says, I think the matching @data abbreviation value for it is missing in the docs
