PR #4637 is ready for your testing. It aims to complete the work of PR #4631. The new PR fixes several significant bugs.

A highlight of the PR is a new unit test, running in the Qt gui, that ensures that Leo (and Qt) deliver key events to the correct widgets. This test uncovered several quirps, and more than quirps.

I think the work is done, but I'll delay merging PR #4637 for a day or two. Please report any regressions immediately.
